I have my Audi serviced by a local specialist but he cannot reset the service indicator (2005 Audi 3.0TDi). Apparently there is a sequence of buttons to reset the SI, can anyone help?

I've been wondering the same thing for my mk5 Golf GT TDi. Its on long service intervals iirc.

Was under the impression the Mileage Doctor type people could do it.

there's a guy on ebay who sells the sequence to re set service indicators, does most cars only cost £1, might be worth a look if no one comes up trumps here

wont work on long life intervals - scanner needed for these - most independant garages should be able to do this for you

most independant garages will be able to reset this for you or even take it off long life if you don't trust the mileages they run for - all my customers are off long life intervals now due to the state of the oil when it's drained

last bit is up to you though

Is resetting the oil service indicator on my 99 passat an easy job that just requires the right sequence of buttons to be pressed?

Anyone know what that sequence might be?
