I have ordered an A6 3.0 TDI and was thinking about the Superchips Bluefin thing. Has anyone tried it, and does fuel consumption get better or worse (I've heard mixed stories).

We can do a serial re-map for that car giving another 20bhp and 50 lb/ft of torque with no other mods, not to sure about the superchips one but personally havnt heard that many bad things about them.

Superchips will do a 48BHP/110NM increase on that engine, had my last one done (A8tdi 3.0) same engine, much improved performance, little noticable change in economy.

I've had one of these as a pool car and even in extra comfy SE spec I was amazed by the performance and handling.

Are you planning to experience it in standard tune before chipping it!?

A great buy!

I am a little biassed, I sell new Audis for Poole Audi.....

ThoughtI would tru it for a bit first, but I know that i am not all that happy with my BMW 530d, as turbo lag is very noticeable especially when pulling away. Dealer says its normal!

I would advise a Steinbauer P-Box they are fantastic we sell them for the new Alfa Romeo diesels we sell. They come with a 3 year warranty for the engine and drive train and there is a money back guarantee. You can see our review on our web site www.autolusso.co.uk/p_box.htm but if you want one for an Audi you can go the UK distributor on www.pbox.co.uk . It is the only tuning product we will use on our cars.

Boxes are ok to a point. The only prob with them is they only increase fuel pressure across the board. They do not adjust boost to keep Exhaust Gas temps under control. Or set torque limits. Remapping is the proper way to go. 40bhp and 80nm is easy in this car.

As for the Bm I have a e39 530d sport that is remapped and it goes like stink
