Hi all,

I have a 2005 fully loaded Audi Allroad 2.5TDI that I have owned since new. A great car apart from the gearbox?

I would like to chop it in for a new model Allroad. Can someone advise on the best diesel engine or spec to go for, and the best place to buy? An almost new second hand 2006 model would do, but it must have everything, sat nav etc etc…

Or alternatively what other similar decent vehicles are there out there? My old man has a BMW 535 M Sport Diesel Estate thing which is very nice but I don’t want to copy him and think it was overpriced.

Cheers.

What's wrong with the gearbox? Just asking as I am looking for one.

Get along to your local OPC and test drive a Cayenne S, never mind the looks, it'll grow on you and the ride/drive will just blow you away. Stick 2 fingers up to Red Ken and do it.

There is a slight delay when for example pulling away at a roundabout, between when you put your foot on the floor and the car actually moving. I have complained about this every time I have had it serviced, but Audi have insisted this is normal…
