Hello All wavey just arrived from the Alfa forum having decided that Audi is the way forward..

Thinking of heading down and picking up a 2004 A4 Avant TDi I've seen and I need you guys to give me expert (but unbiased rofl) opinion

About me. Need the avant for practical reasons but this is the only estate that's actually not bad lookin' at all.
Leaving behind a Alfa 147 manual. A small car and 150bhp isn't huge but was plenty to keep a smile on my face.... so thats my happy level.

The A4 I'm looking at is a 2004 130bhp
Good Bits: Xenons, parking sensors, leather, multi-function s wheel, Audi approved second hand car (warranty)
Don't know bits: Multitronic box
Bad bits: £15k with 58k on the clock. Cam belt due (but the dealer thinks otherwise - March reg)

Having a look in the morning... I'd really appreciate your advice guys ears

I'm no expert (just passing through) but that sounds a little pricey to me for a near 60k mileage - but then it is at an Audi stealer!
Do you need or just want a rattler? I would have thought you could get something like a 1.8T of some description for same or less (depending on which flavour - I'd go for the 190bhp myself) and use the difference on fuel/insurance etc. Not the most soulful of engines but then neither is a diesel.

Agree, seems a bit on the dear side. Can be chipped to make it more lively and economical. I have a tiptronic box and that is brilliant, don't know about multitronic. Fairly good spec as well.

Multitronic has to be the best auto I have driven !

It is bassically one gear. CVT - Conituous Varibale Transmission. It is just a quick as the manual and just a economic.

Great cars...but that does sound a little pricy.

yes Thought it was a tad pricy. Very nice motor though.
Ended up getting a passat 2005 TDi 130 with lots less miles (25k) for 12k.
Cheers lads.
