Thinking about opting out of my company car scheme and a 3yr old S4 might fit the bill

Clearly, I don't want to budget for taking it to a main dealer but, at the same, time need the car to be looked after fastidiuously by someone who knows what they're doing

I know Fontains have a good reputation but they're a bit too far away to make them a realistic long term solution.

Anyone know of anyone capable in the Southampton, Salisbury, Bournemouth area?

Highly recommended by all who use them. They look after my S3.

they sound ideal for me

just round the corner from Heritage who look after my company A3 at the moment

presume the servicing costs are a lot more than those quoted on the website for your s3?

Last March the big 80k service, plus Haldex oil & filter, plus brake fluid, and a new waterpump (whilst doing the cambelt) came to £686 - a lot less than main dealer prices!

sounds good to me

the fact that they're just round the corner from the railway station makes htem even more appealing

if I'm 'opting out' I really need the safety blanket of a great local independent

Autotechnic in Rushington business park.. It's where I take my cars for jobs I can't do myself.

Good family run business.

They built a cracking 1.9 engine for my old MK2 track car.

Autotechnik in Totton have gone bust (the old family run business was sold to a new bunch who obviously ran the business into the ground). Didn't surprise me as they managed to kerb my brand new alloys and bust the mounting on the wheel arch liner when they did a cambelt change.

I now use ABTech in Totton - www.abtechavssltd.com/

I had them service my 1.9 TDi recently, 60k variable service and a brake fluid change. I was very pleased with the service they offered, the guys were thoroughly professional and talked through everything they had found. They even stripped down the door card and cleaned the wire connections after I reported an intermittent problem (for which they didn't charge me).

Highly recommended.

40,000 belt change and service on my 1.9TDi cost £1k at a main dealer, now that it's out of warranty I will be using one of these guys.
