Fitting Aftermarket Stereo - To Bose A3...Connections ???
Discussion
autoleads sell two types of harness, one that uses RCAs to go from the pre-outs of your new stereo into the BOSE amp. The other type just connects to the normal speaker outputs. You will also need ground line supressors to go between the converters and the stereo if you use preouts, i've got a whining noise on mine through the amp and apparantly this is the cause. either do a search on google for autoleads dealers or go to halfords, they stock these.
Ok after much asking around no one seems to know much... they all say my car should be both front and rear amp. which it isn't, it's rear only.
However I have found that connecting a switched power to the audi connection in the speaker block (as indicated on the Audi unit) all the speakers are working !!!

BUT the rears work without the negs being connected ??? As they were wired as commons before I can't tell which was which so I took a guess...
It all seems ok... any idea how it can work without the neg speaker wires ?
