big thumbs up to Dean and co at Autodeutsch in Manchester.

Had a pretty serious crisis the last few days with my TT. cambelt went, car had a baaaaad flat spot, had a rough/high idle, was running rich then running lean and misfiring on two cylinders!!! she was very sick.

cambelt done as required after 80 odd thousand miles i've now covered. that was the easy job.

finding the cause of everything else took a lot of patience and hard rummaging by the guys and they finally found the little git of a hole in one of the scrit or sprit (cant remember exactly what it was called) hoses leading to one of the injectors underneath one of the cylinders.

for all people with the check hose/DV and running rich/lean VAGCOM codes, you must look really hard for any tiny holes that really are barely visible.

car runs brilliantly and is back to its old self. think i actually saw the car grin as it was sat in the drive.

nice one Autodeutsch

Cambelt change interval is 4 years now, not the ridiculous 120,000 miles VAG used to claim (assuming it's a 1.8T)

Hope they did the water pump too

yes, the whole lot. tensioner as well. apparantly the water pump was close to cracking and the belt had lost a lot of tension.

car feels like a rocket now (well, a little 180bhp rocket anyway), it was seriosuly mondeo speed before the jobs were done.
