'99 A6 Door mirror heating broken - how to fix?
Discussion
Maybe someone can help with this leetle problem...
On my '99 A6 the driver's door mirror heating isn't working. (The passenger side works.) It's completely broken, i.e. it's not patchy heating.
Any suggestions for what I should check first? Everything else on the car appears to work so I'm guessing it's not a fuse problem. I guess it's tricky to dismantle the mirror to check for a power supply to the heating element? If so, is there anything else I could check first?
If I do decide to dismantle the mirror, can anybody tell me whether the glass just 'pops' off, or is removing it unnecessary to get to the internal gubbins?
