I've got an A4 TDI for my daily runabout, trouble is its the 90hp model and is piggin' slow. Anyone here got experience of one of the aftermarket 'chip' kits - all comments/thoughts appreciated.

I've got a Star Performance module on mine (though it's the 100bhp not the 90bhp) and would recommend it highly. Gains were 20bhp and 40lb/ft of torque at the wheels with no other mods. The insurers weren't bothered either way and emissions were slightly higher, but well within MoT requirements. If anything fuel consumption has dropped a little, probably because I'm using the extra torque, rather than revving the engine as hard. As with any engine a freer breathing filter and exhaust would prob. help, but suggestions at the time were that this would need custom mapping to optimise the module.
