A3 sport as second car

Thinking of buying a 1.6 or 1.8 A3 sport as a second car, What should I look out for apart from the usual

Forget the 1.6!! If you want go in any sense of the word, get a 1.8T.

I second that, the 1.8 t is definitly the one to go for. Not just for performance but it is more economical than the 1.6 too.

Look out for the gearbox... it has just gone on my girlfriends 1.6. Only 80k on the clock and we've been told its a common fault...

It's going to cost £1200 for a new import one to be fitted..... Ouch!

Apart from that, it's a cracking car - and very good on fuel. The 1.8T's aren't too much more to buy, so I would go for that model. My 1.8T GTi is much quicker than the audi, and a very good drive.
