MkV GTi Headlights

Hello all, hopefully someone can help me with this before I make a dick of myself at the dealer (much prefer making a dick of myself in front of x thousand PH'ers!?!)

I just bought an 07 GTi with Xenons (as all US spec GTi's have) - but I can't seem to get the "inner" lights to do work on the front. From reading the manual it looks as though these are high-beam lights, but when I put full beam on the outer lights change to provide a higher beam, but the inner ones do sod all. I was testing this in the garage with the engine running but in park mode, if that makes any difference.

As an aside, the DSG box is an astonishing invention!

Oh, and while I am here, if anyone knows of any issues on 07 models (software upgrades, recalls etc.) then I would be glad to hear!

on a xenon equiped car, the inner lights are only for flash to pass and are normal halogen lights, they only act as main beam on non xenon cars

Ahh, ok, that makes a bit of sense but I can't get the inner lights to do anything at all! Thanks for the reply.
