Hi all
I am getting a really loud banging noise from n/s/r when going over bumps in the road, I can feel it if I put my hand on the floor behind the passenger seat. Had the car up on stands and cannot see anything, all exhaust rubbers etc are fine, but there seems to be a lot of play in the rear axle bush on the n/s/r, but checked the other side and there seems to be just as much there??. Are they both gone, is this a common problem, I have searched the forum but found only two references to the problem. Any Ideas

Thanks

Sounds like a perished suspension bush to me. Had the same problem on my Corrado.

Think mine were about £90 all in - the rear bushes aren't particularly expensive, but it is a bit of a bugger of a job so I left it to the garage (an independant rather than pay VW labour rates).
