Ibiza boot stuck

Folks,

I've got a 2000 Seat Ibiza and the boot has stuck closed. Lock seems to be working (I can hear it lock/unlock) but nothing happens when I pull the handle. Any ideas before I take it to the dealer?

Well I took it to the dealer and they said it was seized due to water getting in when the washer pipe had come off. They have freed it off but said it's a new mechanism if it happens again.

our ibiza smells of washer fluid in the boot....
