Where's the ECU on a Mk4 golf ?

Can someone please tell me where the ECU can be found on a Mk4 golf. Is it wasily accessable to remove / check?

It's under the plastic scuttle panel. Have to remove the wiper arms and then the panel should unclip. Can be on quite tightly though so be careful when removing it.

You'll then see the wiring and ECU roughly in the centre.
