Very very interesting (and I haven't read it all yet!). Some of the stuff they came up with, and some of the problems/solutions are incredible.
A whole lesson in cunning and ingenious thinking in the VR6 engine!
If you've got a Mark III VR6 then it would be the 12v 174bhp Engine.
>>The first generation VR6 has 2 valves per cylinder, single overhead camshaft (sohc) serving each bank just like any conventional 2-valve V6s, although the 2 camshafts are so close that they look as if a twin-cam design.
hence why the 12v Engine cover has 'DOHC' on it as the cams are together in one head.
Only the 4 Motion Golfs from '99 had the 204bhp Engines.
