Early MK 2 Golf GTI's

Hi folks, I have found a very early MK2 Golf and the owner was a fanatic car collector, and this could well be #1 sold in the UK. Any ideas on who I can check with ? I know there's an Mk1 owners club.. is there such a thing as a Mk2 owners club etc ?

Eeeeh, loads of them mate.

Bimble over to club gti, E38 et al - slightly quirky forums but loads of spods around who know their onions and a few VW dealers too, they might be able to help.

Got any pictures? I have a few books on the MK2 with shizzle about the early ones.
