Audi 2.0 16V - which oil????

I have a 1994 Audi 2.0 16V 4 cyl Coupe, it's covered 134k, it's done 3k since the last oil change at which stage I put Duckhams QXR semi-synthetic in.

I'm just aboot to do the next oil change and I am thinking of going fully synthetic as winter's coming.

Is this the right choice??? It's the same engine as the Mk3 Golf 16v.

Same engine as mk3 Golf? My Ibiza has the same ABF engine as mk3 Golf and has happily run fully synth since I bought it. Seems better on Quantum Gold 5w40 than Mobil or Castrol 0w40.
