MK4 Golf GTi Turbo Oil Leak
Discussion
Just bought the wife a Mk4 Golf GTi Turbo and found a few oil drops on the drive after she left for work.
Does anyone know of any common causes of this problem?
I haven't had time to get it checked out yet but i'd rather go to a garage armed with some idea of what the problem might be.
Thanks

I'd change the oil to start with. The sump plug and/or washer may have been reused and is causing the leak. Behind the engine block and infront of the bulkhead is the turbo, but it shouldn't be leaking from there.
A common place for oil to drain to is the bottom of the tranny housing, since this is the lowest point, and oil from just about anywhere will go there.
Have you checked for head gasket etc?? mayo in filler cap?
Hope this helps.
