3.0-litre A4 quattro
Discussion
It's got 86-odd on the clock, last service was at 74 and schedule for cambelt is at 80. So, to my surprise, the dealer said he would do the cambelt service, with ancillaries, included in the price.
It also needs new brake discs - these two things I ascertained with my inexpert eyes and I wonder what else has not been done.
So I'd need to get it inspected.

Does anyone here know anything about the A4 3-litre quattro (2002 model)? I've found quite a nice looking one for sale with 86K miles.
Anyone here got any ownership experience they can pass on? Things to look out for or bills to expect?
Many thanks.

I've had a 3.0 sport quattro avant for 4 years, first 3 as my company car which I bought from the lease company. It has done 42k miles and 2nd service was about £350 at a main dealer. Only problem was a new coil pack fitted under warranty at about a year old. Not particularly quick but is fairly heavy on petrol. Not sure I would get one again, I only bought it because it was cheap.
