Newbie: Advice Needed

Hi all,

I've finally seen the light, and decided to buy an S4 (probably a 2.7 bi-turbo. Leaning towards Avant). Unfortunately, I don't know much about what can go wrong with an S4, and what to watch out for when looking at one second hand, so I thought I'd appeal to the community to help me avoid regretting buying one.

Any and all advice appreciated - URLs to technical stuff especially.
