i've known a few audis to have the steering wheel slip ring changed cause they get a bit noisey its a part that fits betwwen the steering wheel and the coloum and alows it to power the items eg horn etc whilst being able to turn the wheel, as for the other problem some audis with the 20v turbo engine suffer with a noisey timing chain that powers the opposite camshaft across the back of the engine, it has a hydralic tensioner which gets a bit weak we,ve changed a few of these and it fixes the problem but have only seen it happen on high millage cars. ps a special tool is need to compress the tensioner and allow corect alignment of the cams
