A8 sunroof wont close after battery was disconnected......?
Discussion
After buying a new car my Audi A8 has been sitting on the drive and the battery has drained. I re-charged the battery and when I started the car the sunroof opened on its own accord and wont close. Now I know losing battery power can affect certain electrics and they need to be reset, there is nothing in the manual about the sunroof, can anyone shed some light on this otherwise it means the sunroof stays open all night???

Firstly, double check the bat voltage. When reconnecting, voltage spikes can cause some ECU's to see false-positive inputs (poor design). So try...
1) Ensure sunroof control reflect sunroof pos - i.e open
2) Ign on; start engine for a few seconds
3) Ign off/Engine off then key out
4) wait for 5 minutes
5) Ign on and start engine to ensure full volts
6) close sunroof
If this doesn't work then the ECU concerned may be damaged... and... moneypits...
