Does anyone have a mark 4 gti 180bhp with the r32 miltek exhaust system on it. I was looking at gettting it for my car and was just wondering what people thought of it? Did it make a noticeable difference to the car performance and noise wise?

Thanks
John

Ive had a couple of these and the exhaust makes a lot of difference.
These engines need to expell their exhaust gases quickly to aid acceleration - Milltek's the way to go!

Best mods for the Anniversary are a decat, milltek system and remap. It already has the larger TIP (Turbo inlet pipe) so no need to look at that. Also have a look at modding the airbox as it's quite restrictive and also cut away the rear of the arch liner to allow the intercooler to expel the hot air more effectively.

You'll notice much quicker spool up and you will also actually hear the turbo whistle, which is kind of cool

Thanks for the reply's. Superchargedvr6 would I be better going for a BMC induction kit or something similar instead of modding the airbox? Do you know of any that is best for the car?

Milltek is fine if you don't mind it knocking and booming... I bought it on the advice that it wasn't overly noisey but it has been a real pain to get it to fit and due to heat expansion it sits against the rear beam and booms when hot.

Think i'd try something else next time, Jetex maybe?
