Can anyone recommend a tuning firm? I feel my R32 has a lot more to give!

I would be interested to hear what AMD have to offer for the MK V as I recall for the MK IV they have a Stage I kit of remap, Milltek and Inlet Filter/ CAI. However the MK V has some tweaks over the MK IV already using FSi technology injection.

Try APS. They were set up by a bunch of guys that used to work at AmD and they are offering MkV R32 upgrades:

Any experience of using APS, they seem to have similar Haldex and Remap mods to AMD but cheaper.

Sorry, no. They were only setup earlier in the year but as the people who founded it were pretty well respected when they were at AmD I would say that it should be a fairly safe bet.

You won't get much more from a chip alone, but AmD do a '300' package which includes chip, exhaust and cams. Take the 300hp with a pinch of salt though, realistically expect 280.

I find the R32 engine to feel a bit flat at the top end, such is it's bottom end urge, so that kit should make it pull to the redline more relentlessly.

If you're serious about power though, this is the ultimate www.vf-engineering.com/kit_vw_r32nonus.php

Been away from the office for some time so only just saw the replies - thanks everyone.

I will investigate and let you know how I get on.
