Does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying seatbelt warning siren that beeps at me even when the car is stationary. I have looked at the manual and can't find a fuse dedicated to it, any ideas???

When my seatbelt is off. Its the standard warning sound that you should have it on.

Put your seatbelt on?

Alternatively, pop into a breakers and chop a buckle off something that's been stuffed, then you can just plug it in instead of the proper belt.

Thanks, had thought of that. However its a bit fiddly when all I want is it not beeping when I stop and am waiting for someone while the engine is running.
I've tried turning the stereo up very loud before anyone suggest that.

You think that's annoying? I test drove the new Passat last week. The engine will not start unless you have your belt on. I always wear mine and insist that all passengers do, even for a short journey.
I don't however put it on when shuffling our several cars on the drive.
That and the cr*p electric handbrake were just two of the reasons why we will not be replacing our 53 reg TDI 130 with the new model.
