Golf VR6 value

Morning all

I am currently looking to purchase a VR6 golf, and would appreciate opinion / advice on the price the seller wants. The details are;

1995 'M' Reg
3 Door
Dragon Green
3 Owners
109K
FSH
BBS alloys
Standard apart from K&N filter
Bodywork and Interior in VGC

Downside is only 2 months MOT and Tax

The seller has indicated to me that he would take £1850 for the car - do PH'ers consider this to be a reasonable valuation? I was of the opinion that it might be worth slightly less due to the short MOT and tax...

assuming it's a private sale, i'd say thats quite high, at 109k it shoul dhave had the cam chains replaced, ( EXPENSIVE) parkers do a free assesment for cars sine 97, and that shows a std 3 dr at 2380 private on a p (97) plate at 80k miles, so 2 yrs older, plus the extra miles I'd say no more than 1500.

Thanks SMB, that confirms my thoughts that its worth between 1500-1600.

I don't think the seller will budge on price so I'll just have to hold out.
