Towbar?

anyone fitted a towbar themselves to a mk4 Golf?
How hard was it?

incidentally, would having a towbar put you off a car if buying secondhand?

Thought it was an easier job than that.... but I'll probably still have a crack at it.

Took me 3 or 4 hours from memory, would have been faster if I'd known where the fasteners were in advance. Removing the rear wheels and liners would have been easier on the knuckles too.

Get some replacements in advance for the push fasteners used - some of them were reluctant to come out, and if you have spares it's easier to destroy and replace.
