A6 Knocking lower front arms.
Discussion
Just had my A6 (2.8Q) serviced at Indy Audi dealer. He commented that both lower front arms are knocking - something which I had noticed. He said it is a common fault and was the subject of a recall for some cars. Mine is a T reg - can anyone shed any light on this, or what any solutions could be? Thanks in advance.
Not sure about the recall as mine were replaced before I got the recall letter (the recall was quite recently actually). Its a case of TADTS on these cars.
We've just had to have the TT's rear top and bottom arms replaced due to clonking. 70k gentle miles. Suspension joints seem to be a weak point on Audis.

I'm not sure what TADTS means but my A6 has knocking Arms too. My local independant quoted me £90 a side to fix.
It'll have have to wait till the end of the month to get it fixed though.
If Audi recalled the cars originally, can I get mine done too? It's a '98 A6.
