The above car I went to see this evening had the airbag warning light on constantly..the dealer said he would get it sorted- but I am worried that he might just take the bulb out or something..Does anyone know what might cause this and is it a major headache?

Also how many keys should come with a 2nd hand a3- think this one only had 1 set..

cheers!

There should be two remote keys and a smaller emergency key.

Sounds like a sensor problem - is it an Audi dealer? If so they should be able to fix it easy enough.

Plenty of other A3s for sale if you're not 100$ sure. Its a buyers market where used cars are concerned.

Re the airbag fault, have the fault codes read before you get too worried. Often the fault is thrown up due to a faulty seat connection.
The light remain on untill the fault code is removed.

Should be 4 keys in total

2 x remtote fobs
1 x service key (does not work boot to glovebox)
1 x plastic emergency key to keep in your wallet.

Hope that helps.

Cheers guys, the airbag has been sorted now (i hope!) he said it was a sensor on the seat, maybe it just needed a reset!
