Cd Changer Error

Hi everyone,

My CD changer has gone completey dead. I load the magazine (with the discs the right way up!!) and after it loads all the discs, it shows CD1 Err1 and same error code for the remaining 5 discs.

A couple of months ago, I took it out to re-greade the laser mech slider to stop it skipping and it worked a treat. Can't see this affecting it now though.

Any ideas anybody? All help and suggestions appreciated!

assuming it's the boot mounted variety, they fail regularly with this error, cheapest solution is ebay for anew one.
