Cheap / Good Quality VW Servicing Hampshire / M3 Corridor

Knowledgeable denezens of the VW/Audi forum, I wish to tap into your knowledge and experience.

The Golf TDI is comming up to its 80,000 service. Is there any independant garages that undercut VW in their servicing costs whilst offering the same standard / quality I would expect from a main dealer ?

Not in my experience they're not. e.g. Haldex oil and filter for my TT at Southampton Audi £130 ish, at Autotechnik £75. They did my cambelt at a significant saving over audi also. In fact they are the only garage that I've used who charged me less than the original quotation when I came to pay the bill.

Anyway, the question was "same quality/service but cheaper....." You could probably find cheaper but my experience is these guys are good and at a reasonable cost.
