A4 2L Chip - anyone know anywhere in London ?

Hi,

I'm brand new to the site... hi ! Just wondered if anyone knew where I could get my new A4 (cab) 2.0L Diesel chipped ? Living in SW London...

also try fontain.co.uk, they are near the M4 somewhere

if you get it done, let us know, i have been wanting to get my A3 chipped for a while but have never got around to it

Thanks for that advice. I rang up AMD Technik but they were quoting £695 + VAT... ouch.

A friend of mine has recommended SuperChips in Uxbridge and they are coming to me to do it on Tuesday morning and charging £500. Also with 14 day money back guarantee if I'm not impressed with performance enhancement.

I'll let you know how it goes.

i think the standard output of the 2.0tdi engine is supposed to be around 155bhp compared to the stated 140, i guess yours is similar to mine

Well I had my car chipped a week ago and what can i say ? Awesome difference. The guy who came from Superchips was very efficient and he even came to me which was a bonus.

Gave it a good run at the weekend and the difference in 2/3/4th gears is hugely noticeable. The low end torque is markedly better. Not sure exactly what the improvement is but its been estimated to be between 35 and 45 bhp.

Fuel efficiency has dropped somewhat, but that because i'm more tempted to rev it to 3.5 - 4.5 now ;-) To be honest, with the economies you get from the 2.0 TDI its not a big problem !

If anyones thinking about it - definitely go for it....

I did one of the diesel octavias last year, and it was way over quoted power, VAG diesels have a rep for it.
