Unfortunately, for me, I'm not an owner. But I do admire the car and feel incredibly envious of those who have one.
Congratulations on your new toy.
Fabulously built and handsome piece of kit. No doubt you got a good deal, and you'll be more than happy with the car. Audi quality is such these days, that the RS6 shouldn't give you any bother at the workshop, and on the basis of your lightly used buy, the residuals should be good. I'd say don't be tempted to chip your car if it has already escaped molestation. I've been in/driven a lot of chipped and modified RSs, and it really is a case of guilding the lilly. The RS6 already has an embarrassment of power for what it is, and electronically adding another 50-150 BHP does not a sportscar make. On the downside, take a peek under the bonnet of your Audi when it arrives. How Audi consistently manage to cram so much engine into the gap between the bonnet badge and the leading edge of the front wheelarch is utterly beyond me, and robs all of their cars of any fluidity or balance whatsoever. That, and the fact that the bods in the Audi steering department seem to base all their steering racks on GM's '50s line-up, whilst the Quattro Gmbh boys fill all of their shock absorbers with cement. Good news is that Audi is now run by someone that likes cars, and the engines are starting to move rearwards. By the time you're ready to get out of this RS6 and into something new, the next RS4/RS6 Avants should actually be as nice to drive in the corners as they are on the straights.
Edit - If you take offence, please bear in mind that I am somewhat frustrated by Audi. I wouldn't buy a Mercedes to save my life (though I accept that the CLS isn't bad, the new S-Class is quite nice, and the SLK is nice in a totally gay sort of way) and the new BMWs whilst lovely to drive, are hard on the eyes from the outside, and hard on the nerves from the inside. So I'm a bit stuck, and I'd buy an Audi in a flash if they'd just make the Goddamned things half decent to drive. Their 'sportification' is taking ages. COME ON AUDI FFS!!!!

She is a bit of a looker..Film star too. Layer Cake! Ex Audi UK car used in the Film. Havn't seen the film yet but have seen the clip with my car. As long as they didn't thrash it a la Ronin or the Transporter then I'm not too worried.
Probably best you don't watch the film then... only kidding Excellent cars!
NO. Way.
That is absolutely, completely cool. Great film, and the car featured in a completely fantastic opening sequence. You don't need to worry about how the car was driven in LC- very gently as far as I can tell. On camera in any event.
Forgot to mention in my previous rant that the last generation S8 was an absolutely stonking drive, and one of the easiest cars to provoke sideways and hold there that I've ever driven. So I guess they're not all wooden spoon winners in the handling dept. A friend had Audi UK's S8 home for a couple of days a few years back, and because he's a very nervous passenger and drives like a pensioner, we waited until midnight for my drive so that there'd be no traffic. We headed off on deserted B-roads I knew well, and ended up at a pair of large, interjoined roundabouts straddling the M25 at the Epping Forest exit, where I proceeded to hoon the thing around until there were quite spectacular clouds of white smoke coming from the rear tyres. It was at about that time that I noticed a Police car coming down the road to join the roundabout, and I belted up to the next roundabout hoping to disappear. As I got to the next roundabout, sod's law intervened, and another Police car was coming down the road towards me from a small country lane. Both Police cars had seen me driving in an un-PC fashion. So. With my passenger now saying Hail Marys, I scuttled off the roundabout as quick as the S8s tyres would allow, and onto the M25. It was late, so there was no-one around at all, and once on the M25, I v-maxed the car for a couple of minutes before slowing quickly to about 1 mph below the limit. For a while, it appeared that I hadn't bothered anyone, but to cut a long story shorter, a pair of headlights in the rearview mirror got ominously larger over the next couple of minutes, and one of the Police cars had come to check us out. I could see him on his radio verifying the plate, and when it came back that the car was registered to Audi UK, he must have decided to leave us alone. That one had me sweating a bit. I thought my friend was going to crap his pants.
