Hi there, - unsure where to post this so here goes..

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but our Clifford Concept 300 alarm (on vw golf mk3.5conv)is being a bit of a nightmare.

On many occasions, the keyfob will not work when trying to disarm the alarm (new battery fitted incase) this means that the only way to get into the car is to open the doors, set the alarm off and enter the valet code to disarm the alarm. This happens on quite a regular basis, and I know that mobile mast signals can have an effect on cliffords, but the issue is not compounded on certain areas.

In addition to this, it sometimes takes 2-3 attempts of entering the valet code before the alarm is disarmed.

Has anyone had any similar experiences with cliffords and if so, what advise would you suggest - bar getting a new alarm fitted!

Many thanks for any advise passed my way.

If you had it fitted to the car take it back to the fitters, all Clifford alarms come with a lifetime guarantee.......

I had a few issues with mine, and personally wouldn't have one again, but the place that fitted it were great when ever I popped it back to be 'tweaked'

I had a Clifford on a BMW and had a similar problem, turned out to be a dodgy remote, bought a new remote and it was OK again but the range at which it would operate was never as good as with the original.

Actually I'm having a similar problem with the wifes's Galaxy, where it doesn't always work - I fitted a new Battery but no difference, it's not a Clifford though so not really any help to you.
