Anyone know if a 2001 A3 with a Concert stereo system will have a cd cable attached as standard?

If so, where is the CD end - I'm thinking behind a panel in the boot maybe?

That's where is should be - behind the passenger side access flap / cubbyhole. However there is no cable fitted to my S3, although I was led to beleive they were standard fit.

Thanks.

Is that where there is a large box with a fan in the end?

Dunno what that is.

That large box with a fan on it is your sub-woofer. The CD cable should be tucked somewhere behind (or around) it. If you want to put a CD changer in there, there is plenty of room for it to sit on top of the sub, just attach it with some sticky velcro and it will be fine. My dad has had his mounted like this for years without problem.
From memory you need to be careful regarding the connections on the end of the CD cable though, only certain brands are directly compatible without an adapter.

Oooooo I've got a sub-woofer!

Thanks for the info.

Was also thinking about doing an oil change as it's mucky.

Any particular type of oil a 2001 1.9 Tdi needs and can you get to the oil filter easily?
