Don't bother save your money and buy a 1yr old Mondeo ST TDCi...it'll outdrive the Passat around the twisties! I think the Passat is almost £20k, that is 1yr old E90 320d money.

My wife has one for work, when she first had it, she said "it don't half go well". But what you must realize is, she'd spent the last 18 month's driving our S4.

I was going to go for the 170 over the 140 but was put off by the extra cc tax payable. It's quite a bit up on the CO2 and to top it all it's a fair bit more expensive than the 140.

I worked out it'd cost another £30 month or thereabouts. The word is also that there will be a price to pay for the extra power and that will be noise and vibration....
