Golf TSi

I am looking for a new car and love the idea of the golf TSi. never had a VW before. how do people rate them?
I like the idea of a cheap to run yet quite powerful small engine that will give be better MGP than my Forester S turbo does at the moment. it will be a second car

Found this here, was reading something about it the other day and must admit it seems like a good idea!! Can't remember where I was reading it, might have been this month's EVO if you're walking through WH SMiths and fancy a look?

Only thing that puts me off it is that you could get a Golf GTI from a car supermarket for less than the TSI, but I can't see the supermarkets getting the TSI as there'll be less demand, less chance of them sourcing them cheaply?

I'd be interested to have a drive of it though, having driven the GTi and being very impressed

I friend of mine works for VW but quite a way fvrom me. around 150miles each way, and can get me around 10% off list price. So I thnk 18" alloys and a few extras will be added
