Buying advice on 7 seat A6 required

Hi,

Decided to upgrade my golf to a seven seater and have settled on the A6 with 7 seats - want to stay in the VAG family since I've been very happy with the Golf and service from the local dealer (that also has an Audi outlet). Not even going down the MPV route after having had one for a short time and being scared on the handling!

Any advice on what to look for on the A6's? Looking to get an under 4 year old one and I don't do many miles so would rather have petrol.

I'm guessing I'm limited to the previous model since it doesn't look like the seven seats are an option on the new one (probably the Q7 influencing that!).

We had similar concerns when we looked to change the wife's Golf back over christmas. In the end, we test drove both the A6 Diesel and the Allroad, we decided upon the to go for the VW Sharan sport. Comes with sports suspension and actually handles very well.

Not another car surely......!

You can get an Allroad for decent value these days. The 2.7 Twin Turbo goes fairly well, but is a bit thirsty if you boot it (apparently)
