considering one of these for my next car to replace my '03 A3 2.0 TDi

Excellent car - although a little pricey for my liking... I took a couple out on extended test drives and was smitten, although when specced up it was the best part of £28k... At the time (Nov/Dec last year) the dealers were happy to take a £500 deposit with little idea when they could actually deliver the car. I think the supply is a bit more predictable now. Before you take the plunge see if you can take out the Mark IV R32 for a test drive - you may save yourself £10k in the process
