Where to put Autochanger in Passat Estate

Picking up a Passat estate on Saturday and the autochanger is currently mounted on the boot floor in full view and where it will get knocked about.

Anyone any experience of where else to put it?

Is the glovebox big enough? Under the front passenger seat? Are there side storage compartments in the boot the same as in my Aud A4 saloon?

Not sure if the estate has these but in the saloon model, the factory fit autochanger was in a compartment in the side of the boot on the left hand side.

Do you know if the VW's have the wiring already in place?
