The best I could find on the web was this
http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/car-reviews/

Anyone here ever had one?

speaking as an A3 TDi driver, I'd say look for a 1.8T petrol instead

the diesel is slow, noisey and not as economical as you'd expect

Have had the A4 but currently running an A6 Avant 130 tdi.

Not sure of your needs but imo the A4 is a bit tight in the back and the boot is on the small side too. I couldn't get it to work as the family workhorse.

I think the performance is adequate and the economy is good for a big car - I'm getting 40+ mpg regularly without trying and the A4 was about the same.

On a 51 plate you can probably pick up an A6 for less than an A4 due to the A4 having a better image in the UK.

The A4 is a good car though and the tdi engines are tough as old boots. As long as these cars are serviced on time they will run and run. Just make sure that any recall work was carried out on time. Also, if you are going for sports suspension and 17" wheels, do go for a lengthy test drive. My A4 was a sport and although it did look great, Audi seemed to think that sports suspension = bloody rock 'ard.

Cheers

Just bought a 53 reg 130 TDI saloon so a bit early to have found any problems.

Have to disagree with alfaspiderman2 so far - over 50 mpg, quieter than the TDCi Mondeo I also have and faster as well.

I guess that its relative.

You can tell from my nickname what I drove before the Audi

From similar power outputs it was quicker, more refined and only did about 8-10 mpg less

(oh and the dealers were better, the seats were better, the handling & ride were better, and don't get me started on the engine note)

Sorry, I guess I'm not the right person to ask about Audis - personally I'll never have another

33cc,

Copy these into your web browser:

I don't have a huge amount of expereince as to what to look out for purely because beyond general servicing and consumables nothing has ever fallen off or failed.

The only thing to really watch with Audi not the cars but the main dealers. My expereince with them has been poor. Arrogant sums them up. When abroad on business the wife booked mine in for a service and the service manager suggested she "wait for your husband to return and we can speak with him direct" Needless to say neither car has been put their way...

Cheers

got to say there are top class motor, i had a 2000 130tdi, went well, great on fuel, amazing on a run, the build quailty is fantastic, mine had 100,000, on it, never once missed a beat. it was cheap to maintian (as long as you dont go audi!). and if youre any good with a bag of spanners, there are very easy to work on. In short i will get another, but i want a sport pack avant, best looking estate ever made. Good luck mate
