I own a standard Leon Cupra R 225 (55 plate) and think the ride is fine. My gripe is with the rattle(S) from the dash around the steering column. I can get rid by altering the reach and rake but it returns once i have gone over a pot hole. Is this what you mean regards the crashing at low speed? Another annoyance is noisy rear suspension when there is wet weather- there is some debate around this being the bushes - at the top of the suspension? - most apparent when going over speed bumps.

The rear top mount bushes need siliconing into place, a known fault on the LCR. Your SEAT Stealer should fix it under warranty.

Thanks for your input - my steering column is fine - and i have got more used to the ride now - guess i'll just to live with it - been driving on the roads around the english/welsh borders - its got a great chassis - and the power is adequate - thinking about the jabbasport upgrade to 225 - but the brakes will need doing too!

Agree totally with you about the chassis and handling - power on the 225 just leaves a smile on your face. Just can't beat going for a run again!
