Hey fellas,

I'm just about to agree on a 2.7 Bi-Turbo Allroad. I've had a quick look around QST/ ABT websites, but does anyone have any real world experience or knowledge of tuning these. I've heard of one in the US putting down 625bhp!!!

At the mo, I like the styling of the Abt Allroad...

Any stories/ideas/recommendations, etc would be most welcome.

I'd like to aim for mid 350+ bhp....

Cheers,

Frank

check www.rs246.com for Audi advice......currently most of us are using www.mrctuning.com Very knowledgeble and helpful guys......a custom remap is 500 notes, you will probaly need bigger turbos as in RS4 K04 to get a reliable 350+ bhp.

Hey Clubsport,

I've checked it out, but not much specific to the Allroad....Do many people mod these?

How much reliable power can be got from this engine without changing the turbos? Circa 300BHP. I'd look to change the exhaust and do the transmission software too...

Cheers

I very, very nearly bought a 2.7 bi-turbo Allroad to replace my S4 bi-turbo, but went for the 2.5 V6 TDI in the end, because I couldn't live with the 18 mpg the 2.7 Allroad was returning when I borrowed one for the day.

Not knocking MRC Tuning, I used www.amdtechnik.com to remap the TDI and it went from 180 bhp to 240 and 360 lb/ft of torque. Pulling from 80 to 100+ (on private roads, of course) it was as quick as my old S4 bi-turbo.

Next to getting the bi-turbo remapped for around £500, you can start to uprate the intercoolers and turbos to RS4 spec and start to get stupid bhp outputs - but be warned, once you start modding, it's very difficult to stop...

Best of luck, whatever you decide to do.
