my clutch pedal floored yesterday and didn't return. you can manually pull it back up. cable looks ok at gearbox end.

does it sound like the cable has gone or the clutch itself?

a few years ago i had a similar problem when the fork or finger??? in the clutch went, could it be this again?

It could be your cable. Have a look under the dash near the top of the clutch pedal. You should be able to follow it back to the bulkhead. A new cable is about £20 from GSF. You have to remove the windsrean wipers and scuttle panel to get access to change it.

If not the cable then perhaps the gearbox fork as you suggested.
