Cupra Alarm - Read this!!
Discussion
Parked up my Cupra R, pressed the remote once....alarmed..ok, pressed again..deadlocked..ok.
Come back to the car all the windows are down... low and behold DVD player, Sat Nav etc..all gone
Where i live is very quiet and the car is parked in a private road so i could not believe i would not have heard the alarm....turns out it did not even go off.
After explanation from the guys who have just fitted the Cat 1 alarm to the car now, it would appear very easy ot bypass the alarm and door locks if you know how.
I would tell you all more but i dont want to give the tricks away... just take my advice and get an additional alarm fitted.
BE WARNED!

You only need to press the remote once, it alarms and deadlocks with one press. I think the 2nd press actually turns something off, can't remember what it is though.
As for the windows down thing, it is a very well known problem and has been discussed to death over on www.seatcupra.net/forums, the simple solution is to de-lock your car (again discussed to death on SCN)
Edit:
Just found the thread that describes what happens with 2 presses:
Press lock button once:
Alarm ARMED, all doors LOCKED, deadlocks ACTIVE
Press lock button twice:
Alarm NOT ARMED, All doors LOCKED, deadlocks NOT ACTIVE
