Am looking at buying an A2 1.4TDi Sport as my commuter wagon. 60+mpg and 90ps seems like a fine combination to me. Any opinions?

Great car. Not much space and only two seat-belts in the back, but that's probably not too important for a commuting car. MPG is a bit optimistic, but you'll defninitely get loads of miles to the tank.

They hold their value well, esp. as they've now been discontinued.

Go for it

Great. Space not a huge priority, but I do have a young son (10 months old) to cart about sometimes.

Have currently got a 306 HDi Estate which has been great, but electrical gremlins are forcing its departure.

Is the boot usable or just tiny?

Had one as a Courtesy car once, the pedals are so close together in a small footwell that I kept getting my left foot stuck under the brake - so beware if you've got big feet, otherwise, well not particularly inspiring to drive but I did about 60 miles in it and the fuel guage was still showing full.

Run an A2 1.4SE Petrol as my daily driver in central london ... great little car, its my second. The Diesel is probably the better car, this one was just the right price for me.

First - not sure about the peddles mentioned, i have size 12's and dont have a problem.

Space wise - ok it is only a 4 seater (but have been to Newcastle and back in myne 4 up with no complaints) The folding seats are brilliant - when completely removed you have a huge storage space (could hold more boxes than a mates Mondeo estate because its so deep!!!)

Recomendations - make sure you get the glass roof - it does make a difference

be aware that the tyres are r16's and a pain in the a$$ to replace, especially as its a glue kit not a spare or space saver)

The stated MPG's are a bit optomistic for real world driving, but its still better than most any other "normal" car!

My only gripe would be that Audi Main Dealers (in my experiance) shoudl be put against a wall and shot.

In fact, does anyone know a good garage that will work on an A2 in east london?
