Cant afford an RS4
Discussion
New, basic spec is about £30k. www.audi.co.uk/company/pressrelease.jsp?id=14215&backPage=presscentre
Mine is an ex-demo, with fairly basic spec (I didnt want the Audi satnav for £2k, thank you very much, so I bought an RA Navigator, nor the bum warming seats etc), cost £27k (cash buyer so they did a deal) but would have been about £32k new.
Same engine can now be had in the A4 2.0T SE but without the DTM 'tweaks' (suspension, bodykit, seats, carbon fibre trim etc) for a few grand less, but buying an ex-cemo it costs me the same as an SE
Only 250 RHD DTMs made (mostly in Sprint Blue, by the looks of it)

Lovely piece of kit you got there!
saw one of these in the flesh at Shelsley Walsh hill climb in September - Audi had a marquee with one of these bad boys on display. Brilliant detailing and the blue was stunning. So is silver
quite fancy one myself - amongst several other motors lol.
how does she perform?

My previous car was an A4 1.8T-Sport Quattro that was chipped by QS Tuning and was pretty rapid for a 1.8. The new car is a whole lot faster (OK, not as quick as my cerb, but still damn fast for a daily driver). There is hardly any turbo lag, much more seamless delivery and it pulls harder from lower revs (about 2500 rpm against 3000-3250rpm for my old car)
The handling and steering feel, compared to my previous car, is awesome. It seems to get up on its tippy toes and balances beautifully. Much, much more so than the understeering, numbness of my old car. Sublime (for 4 wheel drive, that is ).
saw one in silver today at Shipley, west yorks, waiting for the lights. i wondered what it was as i initially thought it was a normal 2.0ltubo s line, but then i clocked the small carbon boot spoiler....... very nice
the new ltd edition s line sport has the same 220 bhp engine and the usual s line suspension etc, but also comes with leather as standard for a list price of about £25k before discount of at least a few grand but the DTM has more tweaks etc

I had an A4 DTM in last week and have been tooling about in the new RS4 this week. This goes against all received wisdom, but I actually think you've bought the better car there.
Popped in to my local dealer yesterday (as a suicidal pheasant decided it wanted to re-arrange the front aerodynamics) and they were showing me the photos of the RS4 thats doing the dealer rounds at the moment. Does look very tasty.
TBH the DTM is plenty fast enough for a daily driver and handles way better than my old T-Sport Quattro.
And Ive still got the Cerbera for the weekends

And exclusivity
Just need to change the 2.0T moniker off the back and replace it with a nice DTM one, sorted (unless I dig up an RS4 badge from somewhere )
Please don't ruin a lovely car by putting an RS4 badge on it!!!
I hate this more than anything else. 3 series Bm's with M3 bages Porsche C2 with Gt3 badges naf naf naf
Put a DTM badge on it.
Lovely looking car.

Another DTM badge is on order
