I was in a meeting on Wednesday when someone came in and said my alarm was going off. Now I've never heard the car's genuine alarm, but this sounded a bit strange, more like a fast beeping and flashing of the indicators. Anyway the plipper wouldn't work and the only way I could silence the car was to unlock the driver's door manually, and switch on the ignition.

Ever since, the plipper will not work. I've changed the batteries and followed the re-synchronisation steps in the manual, but to no avail.

Can anyone shed some like on this for me please?

Ta muchly!

Is there no one on this forum who can shed any light on this problem at all?

Is it's any help, if I unlock the car and lock it again without putting the key in the ignition, after a while the alarm will go off.

You could try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins , it will reset everything .

I'll have a go at that. Thanks. I just can't see what might have caused it to fail in the first place though. Perhaps it was the plipper battery that went.

So how did you get yours to respond to the plipper again?
