VR6 shockers problems

My parents have a 96 vr6 golf and the suspension went a little over a year ago, so they got uprated ones and now the car is banging on the suspension again the noise is like an exhaust banging. does anyone know why it keeps going and what sort to buy that will last without it being too expencive. As they just use it for a-b motoring.

Although a better description would helpit sounds like one of the exhaust rubbers may have gone.

* If one of the rubbers has gone then the exhaust will bang on the underneath of the car.

* I might also be worth checking to make sure that the downpipe of the exhaust isnt catching the firewall where it bends underneath the car.

Give that a try.
