Audi cab central locking fault

Hi all,
I have a '93 Audi cabriolet 2.3 went to it the other day to find the central locking would not work. Checked the fuse, it had blown so replaced it and tried the locks again which worked as they should. After trying it a second time heard a 'click' from the front of the car somewhere. After this the central locking failed to work again !! Checked to see if another fuse had blown but it was fine. Could it have blown somthing else ? Any ideas on what could be causing it to blow ? Has anyone had any simular problems or could point me in the right direction ?
